Sample call

Read a call before you book one.

Three transcripts below: an after-hours booking, a caller who asks for a human, and an emergency. Same disclosure line every time. The awkward parts are left in.

Demo line

(000) 000-0000

Placeholder — the demo line is not live yet. When it is, this page will say so and the number will dial.

What the demo will and will not do

When it is live, you can call and run a booking as if you were a customer. It will not quote your job, give technical advice, or sign you up. It is the same script, pointed at an empty calendar.

No recording is kept from public demo calls beyond 24 hours.

Everything below is a written sample, not a recording. The business name “Ridgeline Heating & Air”, the address, the prices, and the callers are invented for the example. No real customer is depicted.

Sample 01 · after hours

A no-heat call at 9:40 pm.

The assistant qualifies, reads the address back, checks for a gas smell, offers a real slot, and states the diagnostic fee before booking. Total call: 2 minutes, 14 seconds.

0:00Assistant

Hi — this is the Front Desk Clerk assistant for Ridgeline Heating & Air. I'm an AI, and this call is recorded. I can book you in or take a message. What do you need help with?

0:09Caller

Uh, hey. Our heat's out. It's about 54 in the house.

0:14Assistant

I'm sorry — that's cold. I can get a technician out. Is this a house or a business?

0:20Caller

House. 418 Maple, in Brookfield.

0:25Assistant

Got it — 418 Maple in Brookfield. Is the system blowing air at all, or is it completely off?

0:33Caller

It's running, but it's blowing cold.

0:37Assistant

Running but not heating. How old is the system, roughly?

0:42Caller

Maybe twelve years. It's a gas furnace.

0:47Assistant

Thanks. Is anyone home this evening? We have a slot between 7 and 9 tonight, or 8 to 10 tomorrow morning.

0:57Caller

Tonight, if you can.

1:01Assistant

I can hold 7 to 9 tonight. Before I book it — is there any smell of gas, or any alarm going off?

1:08Caller

No, nothing like that.

1:11Assistant

Good. I have your number as the one you're calling from. Is that the best number for the technician?

1:18Caller

Yeah, that's fine.

1:21Assistant

Booking you now for 7 to 9 tonight at 418 Maple. The technician will text before arriving. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, which is applied to the repair if you go ahead. Does that work?

1:36Caller

Yeah.

1:38Assistant

You're booked. Ridgeline will text you a confirmation in a minute. Anything else I can take down?

1:45Caller

No, that's it. Thanks.

1:48Assistant

Thanks for calling Ridgeline. Someone will be there between 7 and 9.

1:54—

Call ends. Transcript and one-line summary sent to the on-call number.

Sample transcript — invented business, address, and fee. Not a recording of a real call.

Sample 02 · asking for a human

“I'd rather talk to someone.”

It does not argue and does not promise a time it cannot keep. It takes the details, marks the reason, and hands off to the person who owns the quote.

Hi — this is the Front Desk Clerk assistant for Ridgeline Heating & Air. I'm an AI, and this call is recorded. I can book you in or take a message. What do you need help with?

0:08Caller

Are you a real person?

0:11Assistant

No — I'm an AI assistant. I can book a service call or take a message for the team.

0:18Caller

I'd rather talk to someone. This is about a quote that's wrong.

0:24Assistant

That's fair. I can't fix a quote, but I can get it to the person who can. Can I take your name and the best number?

0:34Caller

Dana Ruiz, and the number I'm calling from is fine.

0:39Assistant

Dana Ruiz, calling from this number. Which quote is it — do you have an invoice or quote number?

0:47Caller

It's the one for the rooftop unit, from last week.

0:53Assistant

Rooftop unit, last week. I'll mark it urgent for a callback. The office opens at 7:30 tomorrow, and you'll get a text tonight confirming it's with them.

1:03Caller

Okay. Thanks.

1:06Assistant

You're welcome. I've sent it to the on-call manager now.

Sample transcript — invented business and caller. Not a recording of a real call.

Sample 03 · emergency

Water, and a shutoff that will not turn.

Emergency keywords and routing are set by the client. The assistant does not give plumbing advice; it escalates on the rule and stays on the line while the on-call number rings.

Inbound · plumbing · emergency0:58
0:00Assistant

Hi — this is the Front Desk Clerk assistant for Ridgeline Plumbing. I'm an AI, and this call is recorded. I can book you in or take a message. What do you need help with?

0:09Caller

There's water coming out from under the sink and I can't shut it off.

0:15Assistant

Is the shutoff valve under the sink turning at all?

0:20Caller

It's stuck. I've got a towel down but it's spreading.

0:25Assistant

Okay — I'm treating this as an emergency. I can't advise on the plumbing, but I'm calling the on-call plumber now and sending your address. If water is near outlets or the panel, leave that area and call your utility.

0:38Caller

Okay.

0:40Assistant

What's the address?

0:43Caller

22 Cedar Court, unit 3.

0:47Assistant

22 Cedar Court, unit 3. Stay on the line — I'm connecting the on-call number now. If it doesn't pick up in 30 seconds, I'll take a message and keep trying.

Sample transcript — invented business, address, and escalation rule. Not a recording of a real call.

Listen critically

Four things to check when the line is live.

  • The disclosure is in the first sentence. If it is buried after the qualification questions, that is a problem.
  • It reads the address and the time back. A booking that is not confirmed out loud is not a booking.
  • It says “I don't know” when it doesn't. The script should never manufacture an arrival window or a price.
  • It lets the caller interrupt. If it talks over people, the voice and turn-taking need work.

You will hear the seams. It sounds like a competent assistant, not a person. That is the design: a disclosed tool that is clear about what it is, rather than a performance that falls apart when a caller asks a second question.
